Trip to Iowa reflections...

At the end of November we traveled back to Iowa to celebrate the wonderful life and legacy of Jarrett's grandma Doris.  It was a very quick trip.  The kids and left on a Thursday afternoon and Jarrett came later that night.  We all traveled back on Sunday and while we were only there about 3 and a half days, we were able to see lots of family and soak up lots of wonderful memories.

Throughout the time we were back honoring Grandma Doris, I kept thinking... she would have loved to have been here to celebrate with us.

Here are a few photos of the memories we created when we were back...

Papa's sister LuAnn and her beautiful family.

Papa's brother Wayne and his wonderful family.

All the great grandchildren of Grandma Doris.

And the whole family  While we wish she was seated right there in the middle, I couldn't help but think she had to be looking down with great pride as the entire crew gathered for a photo.

Since we were back we had a last minute Christmas gathering with my family the afternoon before we left to come back.  Given that we hadn't had a family picture of all of us together since Isabelle was 3 months old, we decided to try and take some family pictures too.  Here they are...

My mom and dad and Grandpa Ray

My brother Jonas and his wife Kacee
My sister Megan, her husband Adam and their two cute kiddos!

My sister MaeLyn and her hubby Aaron

And us with Grandpa Ray
Mom, Dad, Grandpa and us 4 kiddos... yes I'm the oldest and the shortest.

And all of us.

So grateful for all of our families.  We are blessed.
Until next time,
Angie
