How can a year go by so quickly?

A year ago now we were anxiously awaiting the arrival of our newest bundle of joy. We were unsure if he was a boy or a girl and we wanted more than anything to make sure he arrived safely.  Now here we are with the reality that in less than 2 days he will turn one. I can't believe it.  I'm in denial.

In some ways 2020 has seemed like 4 years and in others it seems like it has been  just days.  I am thankful for the fact that we've been able to be with him so much time in this first year but I feel like I will forever miss the baby days.  He is our last and I will miss the newborn baby smells, the cuddles, the coos and all that comes with having a baby... yes even the sleepless nights.

I tell myself this stage is fun too.  He's learning so much new each and everyday and he still loves snuggles with me.  I remind myself that no stage can stay forever and to be thankful I have gotten and continue to get these moments.

Here are some of my favorite pictures from the first 4 months of Jennings life.  He has been such a wonderful baby.  So easy going, so mellow, a good sleeper and so happy.

We love him so very much.  Thank you for allowing me the time to flashback and reminisce about the joy that was those first newborn days.
