As I was getting dinner ready tonight Gabriel shouted from the bathroom that we were out of Kleenex. I said, Thanks Gabriel for letting me know. I went on about the evening preparing dinner, then bathed the kids, walked the dog, read to each of the boys, brushed their teeth and put them to bed. I closed the door and as as I walked back to the kitchen, I unknowingly walked right into a disaster.
All of a sudden I found myself slipping on the tile floor in a huge pool of water. Thankfully the sofa table was there as it helped me to catch myself and when I regained my balance, I wondered, how in the world did all of this water get on the floor, under the sofa table and even under the couch. Then I noticed the Kleenex box on the table and as I picked it up, the answer to my question was in my hand.
What does a 5-year-old do with an empty Kleenex box?
Why nothing less than fill it to the top with water, carry it out of the bathroom, leave it on a wooden table and wait for the results...
Oh and in other news... Michael and his little girlfriend Raven decided it would be a good idea today to see how many wood chips could fit in Michael's ear. Just as I walked outside to the playground to pick him up, I see Raven taking a sand shovel full of tiny wood chips and pouring it in Michael's ear. So, if anyone has any advice for how to get wood shavings out of a tiny ear, I'm all ears (no pun indended).
Until next time,
Angie
BOYS!!!! Gotta love 'em!
ReplyDeleteI recall a story of a little girl named Angela who wanted to keep her 4 month old sister happy and tried shoving cheese curls into her mouth as she was crying. It was lucklily discovered before she started choking. I was able to dig them out of her mouth and shortly thereafter a lesson was taught on how old you have to be to eat cheese curls.
