Gabe was recently invited to play on a team that was representing Arizona in the Pony Western Regional playoff series in California. And it perfect timing, it just so happens that the tournament was scheduled to be the same week we had Jennings. We talked with the coach from the beginning and told him that we'd have to play it all by ear and Gabe would be a last minute decision if he got to go or not.
Of course Gabe wanted us to have the baby as early as possible, because that meant he would for sure be able to go to California. I can't blame him, how fun to get to travel for baseball right? It's just also that having a brother only happens once or very few times in one's life and I told him there would be other tournaments.
When Jennings was born on Monday, July 15, his coach offered to take Gabe with him on Wednesday. After much discussion and debate, we decided it was okay if he went. And thanks to one of his teammates families, Dane's mom Brandi offered to be Gabe's family while we were here.
Thankfully Brandi kept us in the loop of what was happening and while their team lost both games and were eliminated from the tournament early, this meant Gabe and his friend Dane's family were able to enjoy time in California and at the beach. How fun right?

We wish we could have been there to watch but was so thankful for Brandi's updates and for providing us with updates. I look at these pictures and can't believe how big Gabe and his friends are getting.
Turns out we aren't the only ones who think he's looking so much older. Turns out at their time at the beach, they were able to attract the attention of some ladies, who happened to be in high school and of the driving age. I told Gabriel he was too young and to say away from high school girls... nothing against the girls but to me it spells trouble. :-)
