Wordless Wednesday

For those who follow blogs, many may know that certain days of the week can have themes for bloggers….

 Some people have:
  • Monday Funday -  where they recount the fun they had over the weekend
  • Tuesday Truthday--- where a blogger shares a true story about an embarrassing or unfortunate incident
  • Words of Wisdom Wednesday- where they share a motivating or inspiring quote to get them through the rest of the week
Recently I decided I would join in and start Wordless Wednesday.  I settled upon this topic because sometimes the kids say or do something that leaves me speechless or unsure how to respond.  Often times it is the way they describe a situation, make an observation or even the way they act.

Take for example this week’s version of what I’m coining….

Wordless Wednesday…

On the way to school Gabriel and Michael were carrying on a conversation about what they were going to play on the playground during morning recess.  As I pulled into the drop off line at their school, Gabriel unbeknownst to all of us decided he was going to change topics.  He said, “Mom- wouldn’t it be great if the pit bull dog that bit Jack moved to Russia?  Having no idea where in the world his comment came from I said, “What Gabriel?  Why Russia?”  He responded, “Because Mom, if he went to Russia then he wouldn’t be able to bite anyone in the United States.”

And with that I had no idea how to response and thus Wordless Wednesday was born.

Until next time,

Angie
