Noah's Kindness Project: #1 AZ Cancer Village Race

On Friday, April 13, 2007 I got a phone call that not only took my breath away, but it stopped our life as we knew it... it knocked us on our knees and reminded us just how precious life is.  It was a call from my husband, telling me he had cancer.

Several surgeries later, round after round of chemo, countless blood tests, PET scans, and millions of prayers later, we were lucky enough to hear the words... remission.  Some are not as lucky.



I wish I could say that our personal story of Jarrett battling stage 3 Hodgkins and Non-Hodgkins Lympoma was the last of the stories I'd have to hear of someone going through one of life's greatest battles.  Sadly this was not and since then we've had other family members and friends receive the same call we did.

As we began preparing for this year's Noah's Kindness Project it was very important that one project this year, we shared our kindness with was related to a charity fighting against cancer.  When we found the Arizona Cancer Village Run, we knew we had found the right activity.

Please join us as we help support local organizations that support those battling cancer in our community.  Part of your race registration goes back to help local charities and you also have the chance to contribute more if you'd like to fundraise.  More information is provided when you register.

9:00-12:00pm Local Craft Vendors, Cancer Resource Booths, Food Trucks, Live Music, and Fun!

Invite your family and friends to come together and walk, run or skip through our entertaining 5K and 1 mile fun run with live music every mile, while promoting community and raising much needed funds for our local non-profit cancer support programs. Post race expo will include fun for all with live music, local vendors, including entrepreneur kids with handmade crafts, food trucks, and cancer resources. 

Last year we had so much fun “racing” to help with human trafficking as we ran, walked, even skipped through the RAT race, we knew we wanted to do another run/walk event this year.  In looking at the dates and local races to be a part of, immediately the AZ Cancer Village Fun Run stood out.

If you’d like to join us for this fun 5K event, please register for the event and let me know.  I will then invite you to become a part of the official Noah’s Kindness Project team.  I spoke with the race directors and shared our story and the mission of Noah's Kindness Project.  Holly, one of the event directors, shared with me that she was so touched by our group, that as an act of kindness of their own to our group, they are offering all members of our team a discount code for 50% off the entrance fee!!!!! How awesome (and kind) is that!?!?!

2. Click on "Register" and "Register" again from the registration page.
3. When the window pops up to select which "race category" you fit into, select the number of each participants and enter the promotional code (Noah) in, at the top of the page.  
4. Then proceed to complete the rest of the registration.
5. Once you are finished, please email, text me, facebook message me, or leave a comment below and I will send you the official Noah's Kindness Project team invitation which puts you on our team.  

If you still want to be a part, but are not interested in participating in the race, we will again have a booth at their vendor expo where we will be handing out rainbow lollipops, kindness cards and other information to spread awareness of Noah's Kindness Project.  If you'd like to help us at the vendor tent, we'd love to have your help!
