At the hospital waiting for the arrival of Sweetie Pie . . .

After almost a year's hiatus, I, Jarrett, am back as a guest blogger.  Angie and I are at the hospital in the labor and delivery department waiting for the arrival of Sweetie Pie.  Angie has been put on medicine that produces more frequent and stronger contractions.  We are here with Kristal, the same nurse who was there with us when Noah was born (and who was kind enough to come in to work well before her shift started in order to be here with us -- she's been wonderful to us).  It may be some hours yet.  We believe we have decided on a name, but we will make the final call once we meet her.

Overall, the kids seem to be hopeful and excited but also somewhat unsure.  I had to reassure Gabriel this morning that the circumstances are quite different than they were with Noah and that things looked good.  Michael led a prayer for Mom and the baby.  Isabelle was very sad that Mom had to go the hospital and to part with her, but she is very excited to meet her baby sister, whom Isabelle was, after all, the first to call "Sweetie Pie."

Thanks to all of the family and friends who have sent us messages, texts, and emails expressing support, love, and encouragement.

Until next time,

Angie and Jarrett
